Life Stage Wellness

At our animal hospital, we offer comprehensive examinations that help evaluate the overall health of your pet. Regular physical examinations can detect problems in their early stages, before they become serious illnesses requiring prolonged treatment. Preventive care is one of the most important ways to keep your pet healthy. Early detection ensures prompt action that may solve the problem before serious consequences occur.

During your pet’s specific life stage, the kind of care they need will vary. View your pet’s life stage information below to learn more about what each entails.

Puppies and Kittens

When you welcome your furry, new friend into your family, their initial care is extremely important. We recommend that new pets be brought in for a visit within the first week of joining your family. This helps us to identify any potential health conditions in addition to ensuring that your pet is getting their life with you started on the right paw! Vaccinations are often an important first step at this time.

New pet owners will often need help with determining when to spay or neuter, what to feed their pet, how to train them properly, and many other questions. We will answer any questions you may have. We also encourage you to bring a list of questions to your appointment but remember that we are only a phone call away. We love getting to know our new furry friends and their family!

Adult Pets

The adult years of a pet’s life will be characterized by basic health checks that occur on an annual basis, regular vaccinations, and ongoing preventative treatments. If your pet develops a health condition during this stage of life, they may require more frequent check-ups or additional care.

Senior Pets

The golden years of your pet’s life will be characterized by the most customized care of all. Our senior pets require more frequent medical checks and diagnostic testing to keep track of developing health conditions. At this stage of life, our focus continues to be on preventative treatment options and also on quality of life challenges that may arise. Our team would like to discuss your personal concerns with you to ensure that your pet’s needs are being met.
